Allison & Brendan | Lowndes Grove

Four days before Allison and Brendan’s dream Charleston wedding, Hurricane Florence was making its way toward the Lowcountry and the city was under evacuation orders. The Dallas-based couple pulled together a Lone Star State ceremony and celebration on the fly, but what were they to do with all the broken contracts left behind? Host a grand six-month anniversary party here, of course! That’s just what Allison, Brendan, and their planner from Ooh! Events did when they resurrected the Lowndes Grove event they originally planned. This time around, however, Allison let loose and stepped outside her comfort zone, picking fun colors and textures (like the pops of yellow décor that became the rays of sunshine their original date couldn’t muster) and ditching her wedding gown in lieu of a floral dress. Handwritten notes were given to each guest and shared the couple’s appreciation for the celebrants not only showing up to the most glam six-month anniversary party ever heard of, but for also throwing their Texas wedding on the fly. Here’s to sunny skies from here on out!
