Amanda & Will | Palmetto Bluff

Some of the best romances we know of are rom-coms, and Amanda and Will’s story is no exception. While Will tried to stage the world’s dreamiest proposal, complete with a romantic dinner, rose petals all over the bar, and an empty patio, bride Amanda couldn’t stop with the nervous giggles as soon as she clued into what was happening. “I was giggling so much, he could barely even propose,” she tells us. Later, the laughs rolled in again during their wedding ceremony at The Somerset Chapel at Palmetto Bluff when their officiant-pal Seth was corrected emphatically by Amanda. “When we began to say our vows,” she says, “he asked us to repeat after him. Will went first, and I went second. When Seth asked me to repeat after him, he said, ‘I, Amanda, take you, Will, to be my wedded wife.’ I realized, Will wasn’t going to be my wife, he was going to be my husband! So I said, ‘I, Amanda, take you, Will, to be my wedded husband,’ with a huge emphasis on ‘husband.’ Everyone started dying laughing.” We’re so glad they got it right. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
