Bernard Pierson & Nahila Campos

September 24, 2016

Within a week, Venezuela native Nahila spotted Bernard, who hails from Nicaragua, twice out and about in Miami, where they live. A few days later, she saw him again at a mutual friend’s birthday party and, “I officially couldn’t wait!” Nahila laughs. “I went to talk to him and that was the beginning of it all.” The pair bonded over a mutual passion for food, wine, and adventure and dated for five years, during which they traveled to more than eight countries. In 2015, the night of their annual Christmas date, Bernard gifted Nahila a bottle of champagne with a diamond ring attached and proposed. The couple—who split their time between Florida and Nicaragua—married at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist before a reception at Middleton Place.
