Caitlin & Caleb | Upstairs at Midtown

We’ve heard our fair share of wedding day blooper stories here at The Wedding Row, but this may be the first time we’ve heard of the bride’s wedding band falling through the cracks of a rooftop deck. As Caitlin and Caleb were saying their vows at Upstairs at Midtown, the ring that was meant to go onto Caitlin’s finger instead dropped below the deck, and despite the efforts of Caleb, his father, and many others, the ceremony had to go on without it. But thanks to a local handyman who pulled up a few deck boards and retrieved the ring, photographer Sarah Murray was able to capture the sweetest photos of Caleb *finally* putting the ring on his brand new wife’s finger. The excitement doesn’t end there, though, not for this couple. Caleb, who works as a wedding DJ, went on to DJ his own reception. But even that didn’t steal the show—that honor goes to the couple’s daughter, Cora, who joined in on the first dance, boogied down all night long, and even gave her very own speech at the reception. If that doesn’t make for one action-packed celebration, we’re not sure what does.
