Carolyn & Jeff | The William Aiken House

After meeting online and sensing that this could be something special, Carolyn and Jeff found themselves falling head-over-heels IRL. Four years later, the duo vacationed in Grand Cayman for the Ritz-Carlton annual Cayman Cookout, rife with endless mouth-watering dishes. And though we’re sure the food was absolutely to-die-for, it wasn’t the best part of the night. Jeff surprised Carolyn by getting down on one knee after dinner. So why Charleston for the Big Day? The Northeastern locals were familiar with our stunning city, but after biking around, touring the Battery, and soaking in all the pretty pastels on Rainbow Row, Carolyn was sold. As for design, once the bride spied a unique purple water goblet from EventHaus (she says she had to have it), she planned her wedding palette around it accordingly. This duo’s ceremony featured a co-ed bridal party, friends of both bride and groom on either side during the big “I do’s.” (How refreshing!) And get this: when it came time to slip on rings, Jeff’s best man got a wee bit nervous and accidentally dropped Carolyn’s band into a bush. Rushing for a quick fix, Jeff’s brother passed his own wedding band along as a placeholder. Guests thankfully helped Carolyn find her Tiffany band post-vows, but Carolyn married Jeff with his brother’s wedding band on her finger! Talk about a memorable moment. The lovebirds honeymooned in Greece and plan to return to Grand Cayman each year where their proposal took place, now as husband and wife. We just have one question: can we come with?
