Cassi & Daniel | Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

If you need help believing in love at first sight, take a look at Cassi and Dan. Some years ago in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on the balcony of Dan’s Muhlenberg College dorm room, the pair first locked eyes, and Cassi had zero problem professing her interest in Dan. As for him, “At that moment, I knew Cassi was the girl I would spend my life with,” says Dan. The next four years were spent sitting and talking into the night (and sometimes morning) at their secret college spot, which is where Cassi expected to be asked that big question, but Dan had alternate plans. During one of Cassi’s dance classes, the music stopped, Dan entered, and got down on one knee. According to Cassi, she shook so much, she didn’t even say “Yes.” Having been to numerous Lowcountry weddings themselves, the New Jersey natives wanted to showcase their love at a venue that showed the beauty of life. Enjoy these Big Day stories and inspo!

Big Day Bloopers

Highs and high-nerves from the day?  The bride reports a ceremony location switch 10 minutes before go-time got her heart racing. And that when flower girl (AKA Grandma) went down the wrong aisle without any flowers, that same heart soared.

Favor Inspo

Dan was a college quarterback and Cassi is a special education teacher. In lieu of wedding favors, the couple made a donation to the Special Olympics.

Memorable Moments

Sometimes the best moments are those that no one else notices. In the middle of the reception Dan found Cassi amidst the crowd. “Dan placed his cheek on mine,” says Cassi, “and everything in the world just seemed right and we both felt so grateful to be standing right where we were.”
