A transplant from Virginia, Weston “Wes” McAfee vividly remembers the first time he saw his future bride-to-be. Charleston native Dana Elaine...
Set up on a blind date by a mutual friend, Dana and James met at The Rooftop bar at The Vendue. He arrived with three sunflowers, unaware that they were her favorite, and they hit it off immediately. Three years later, he once again appeared with three sunflowers and proposed to Dana on Edisto Beach. The couple wed at Rockville Presbyterian Church and rode on an old fire truck to a reception at Sea Island Yacht Club. After a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains of Sevierville, Tennessee, they returned to their home in St. George.
