Doug, a popular nonprofit auctioneer and owner of Charleston Auction House, met Truman, a consultant, in fall 2001 while vacationing in Mykonos, Greece. The Lowcountry locals hit it off and dated for exactly 15 years and one day before tying the knot at Grace Church Cathedral in downtown Charleston with family, friends, and pups Sugar and Bear in attendance. They held a reception at their home in Wagener Terrace, then went country-hopping from Greece to Scotland to Ireland for their honeymoon.
