Haley & Walker | Anniversary Session

We feature plenty of weddings and engagement shoots here on The Wedding Row, but it’s not very often that we get to share the story of a couple who’s been married for years. Today, though, we’re excited to show you Haley and Walker’s three-year anniversary session. The two met at Georgia Southern University in Atlanta when she was involved with the campus ministry and he wanted to play guitar for the ministry’s band. On the night of their second dating anniversary, Walker told Haley he would pick her up for dinner at 8 p.m. When 8:15 p.m. rolled around, he still hadn’t shown up, which Haley says was out of character for him. When she went to look for him, she spied a gift bag in her driveway. Inside was a CD and several letters that led her on a scavenger hunt dotted with stops that marked sentimental milestones and memories for the couple. The hunt ended at a favorite coffee shop, where Walker was waiting to pop the question. The two were married in Georgia and three years later enlisted Faith Teasley Photography to snap these sweet anniversary shots while the couple celebrated here in Charleston. When we asked Faith about her thoughts on anniversary shoots, she told us, “Your engagement and wedding day are well photographed—but why should documenting your love story stop there?” she says. “Anniversary sessions document how your love grows and evolves over time. Having tangible photographs of your love is a priceless treasure for both you and your spouse and for future generations.”
