Jessie & Travis | Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

It might not have been “love at first sight” for Travis and Jessie, who met at their apartment community in High Point, North Carolina, but it surely ended up turning into something special. At the time, Travis was working at the complex and apparently had his eyes on Jessie for a while. “I never gave him the time of day until we crossed paths at Liberty Steakhouse,” she tells us, “when Travis so romantically yelled from the parking lot, ‘Is that a Lilly Pulitzer dress?’” (A man who knows a brand? What a keeper!) Some time after this encounter, Christmas in 2017 to be exact, Travis gifted Jessie with a trip that she would never forget–a romantic getaway to Jessie’s favorite vacation spot, Sagamore Resort in Lake George, New York. Towards the end of the trip, Travis surprised her with an even bigger present–a proposal during a band performance of “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. Sigh … Sounds straight out of a Hallmark movie, huh? Before these two cuties got engaged, Travis accepted a job in Charleston, so they decided to lay their roots in the Lowcountry and book a spring wedding at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. And, since they always had envisioned a Southern plantation wedding, Magnolia’s iconic riverfront views, moss-covered trees, and that iconic white bridge certainly were the deciding factors. “We wanted a venue where our kids and future generations could always come to see where their parents and grandparents were married,” says Jessie. Aww, how sweet is that? Check out all of the dreamy images below!
