Katie & Zane | Harborside East

You really can’t beat Charleston’s sunset views over the water, and Katie and Zane’s nuptials at Harborside East took full advantage of just that with the gorgeous harbor as their backdrop. The couple, who dated for a decade through undergrad, graduate, and medical school, added becoming Mr. and Mrs. to their list of major milestones this past fall. And while the two are accustomed to, hmm, shall we say intense emotions (he’s a psychiatrist and she’s an occupational therapist), Katie says that she expected their wedding day to be chaotic and that Zane would be nervous. As it turned out, though, after so much time they were both so ready to get married that everything felt calm. “The day still feels so perfect and so full of love and support,” Katie says, reflecting back on it. And the bride also credits the women of Engaging Events with the chill vibe, not to mention the stylish setting. “A lot of the vision can be credited to our wedding planner who took the very muddy initial vision and organized it into something beautiful and perfect in our eyes,” says Katie. It’s pretty beautiful in our eyes, too, from those vibrant floral arrangements to her bridesmaids’ deep berry hued gowns and that decked out cake. Here’s to hoping these two can finally take a breather from all the studying and enjoy their life as newlyweds instead of students!
