Laura & Anthony | Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

Globe-trotters in every sense of the word, Laura and Anthony traveled all over the world visiting each other during their nearly ten years of long-distance dating. Jetting to hot spots like Chicago, New York, China, Italy, and Spain just to spend a bit of Q.T. (quality time) with each other may sound like a lot but it was all worth it for the native Northeasterners (she’s from New York, he hails from Connecticut) who get engaged on none other than Sullivan’s Island. The pair, who now reside in Charleston, knew that they’d have to seal the deal here in the Holy City, as well, and booked lush Magnolia Plantation & Gardens for their nuptials and called up ELM Events for some planning expertise. Their ceremony, underneath the venue’s impressive ancient oak tree, featured some insanely stunning wildflowers fashioned in the shape of an arc, compliments of the peeps at Roadside Blooms. And even though their “I do’s” occurred during early spring, they went for all out summer color with pops of vibrant purple, orange, and pink every way you looked. And the playful nature of the Big Day didn’t stop there as lanterns shaped like geometric prisms draped across the dance floor and chevrons linens dotted reception tables. As for the most eye-catching part of the entire shindig? Gotta be that nearly-naked confetti cake. We’re getting hungry just looking at it. Congrats to this pair, who exited their reception via sparklers, before heading off to their honeymoon adventure in The Maldives.
