Laura Husek & Jay Daratony

October 13, 2016

In busy Charlotte, North Carolina, love blossomed for this Midwestern duo as they got to know each other through mutual friends and get-togethers. In time, Michigan-born Jay moved to Charleston with Ohio native Laura, where he helped found Revelry Brewing Company. Just a little over a year later, he proposed to her on her parents’ 35th wedding anniversary at the Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village. Their wedding and reception were held at The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation, where, of course, a handmade craft beer tap wall served thirsty guests.
