Lauren & Bobby | The Gadsden House

Wedding Wednesday is in full swing and with Lauren and Bobby on tap, you’ll see why. Even though this pair attended different high schools and universities, distance couldn’t keep these sweethearts, who met during their teen years, apart. Both from metro-Detroit, Bobby and Lauren have been together for over 10 years (wowza!) and finally, finally, got to attend law school together. Just days after taking the bar exam, the soon-to-be attorneys decided to embark on a celebratory European adventure and with the exam out of his mind, Bobby put his energy into something else. He just so happened to have a little special something up his sleeve, or shall we say, in his backpack. (An engagement ring was inside and let us tell ya, that backpack was securely fastened at all times.) The last stop on their trip abroad was to dreamy Paris, where Bobby planned a sunrise engagement photo shoot and asked his best friend to be his forever in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.Bonjours” greeted this newly engaged couple as they returned stateside and after attending several destination weddings in Charleston, Lauren and Bobby knew the picturesque Holy City was the place they wanted to say “I do.” The Gadsden House was on the top of their list because of its outdoor piazzas, modern touches, and old world charm fit Lauren’s vision exactly. The ladies at Pure Luxe Bride really showcased their skills with elegant styling—blush pink, powder blue, and white floral design details glammed up the downtown space while twinkle lights set a festive mood. And since you know, Bobby gave her a ring, Lauren decided to surprise her hubs with a cigar bar, a wedding aspect that he took full advantage of. After honeymooning in St. Lucia, the newlyweds are back to reality, working as lawyers in the Great Lake State. No doubt, their wedding set the bar high.
