Lauren & Dante | The William Aiken House

During the summer of her junior year at College of Charleston, Lauren studied abroad with a pair of fellow Cougars who kept telling her she had to meet their friend Dante when they all got back home. That spurring-on led to a date at King Street Grille, which obv led to much more, given we’re writing about them here. Then, one New Year’s Eve morning, Dante popped the question in The Cistern Yard at the college, and here we are! The two chose the William Aiken House for their nuptials, because, as Dante tells it: “Lauren has always walked down King Street and talked about how it was the perfect venue.” With the help of the design team at Pure Luxe Bride, theirs became another one of those enviable gatherings, this one with a clean and classic color palette of white, gold, and hints of sage. And to celebrate Dante’s Philadelphia roots, the pair made sure no guest left hungry thanks to late-night snacks like huge pizzas from Pizzera di Giovanni and mini cheesecakes. Nice touch, people!
