Lindsey & Anthony | Old Wide Awake Plantation



Tinder has really been killin’ the whole matching game recently for our cutie couples. Clemson University grads, Lindsey and Anthony, matched on Tinder their sophomore year, which led to Anthony sending a message, but a studious Lindsey wasn’t able to reply. Have no fear, for the stars aligned the next night on the stairs of a house party where the two passed and recognized one another from said dating app. Lindsey made sure Anthony knew she was interested by exchanging numbers and talking on the stairs all night long. The next day they went on their first date, which turned to three years of dating and a proposal at the Pineapple Fountain soon after. These Greenville residents exchanged vows at Old Wide Awake Plantation this past Spring with guests from far and wide, and we are loving the colorful photos by the talented Jennings King (and check out those florals on the old oak tree…you’ve gotta be kidding). Also making an appearance was their handsome pup, Sammy who made his big entrance down the aisle before Lindsey. At the reception, guests were greeted with pineapple bottle openers to remember the couple’s proposal at the infamous Pineapple Fountain downtown. Come time for the garter toss, and these big Clemson fans were all but dreading it. Lindsey actually wrote a letter asking for a signed football and attached their wedding invitation to send to Dabo Swinney, head football coach at Clemson. When Lindsey and Anthony announced that there was a garter wrapped around a Dabo-signed football, you can bet everyone jumped to their feet (and we’re sure it was all for the garter…right)? Happy trails lovebirds!
