Lisa & Jack | Hibernian Hall

Although they met as freshmen at Clemson University, it took four years of undergrad and plenty of greek life functions for South Carolina natives Lisa and Jack to realize they were destined to be more than “just friends.” After Lisa moved back to Charleston from her stint abroad in Thailand, the pair started dating and less than two years later, one Easter weekend, the (egg) hunt was over as Jack proposed. “I was so excited but also speechless. I forgot to answer him and after a few minutes, Jack nervously asked the question again,” Lisa reveals. For their autumn wedding in Charleston, there were no second questions, though, as they both knew that was where they wanted to wed from the beginning of the planning process. You see, Charleston, Hibernian Hall specifically, held a special place in Lisa’s heart as it was where her parents had their own wedding reception, as well as two of her sisters. Gosh, how we love that sentiment! So, after walking down the aisle in Rainbow flip-flops (boo thang Jack’s suggestion after Lisa commented how painful her high heels were), everyone reconvened at their swanky reception where an edible strawberry tree, (yep!), greeted guests as they walked in and where florals galore by Engaging Events were seen at every turn, including lining the band’s stage. The newlyweds danced a majority of the night away before parading down Hibernian’s steps, led by their bands’ brass sections, and hopped into their pedicab for two, bound for their new life as hubby and wife.
