Mandy & Daniel | Historic Rice Mill

No tricks, only treats for Mandy and Dan. The duo met on Halloween, of all holidays, in Greenville, South Carolina, back in 2013. They hit it off, became an “item,” and enjoyed each other’s company for the next four years before Dan started scheming and dreaming up a perfect proposal. When Mandy’s birthday rolled around in 2017, the plan was to celebrate with a lover’s getaway in England. That morning, before they embarked on their vacay, Dan could hardly contain his excitement, and proposed right there, giving Amanda the gift she’d truly been hoping for, along with some delicious breakfast in bed. (Dan sounds like a keeper to us!). When it came time to plan their Charleston nuptials, Mandy and Dan wanted to keep the focus on their gorgeous venue, The Historic Rice Mill. They opted for a simple but intentional color palette of burgundy and pink to pair alongside their garlands and greenery, which worked especially well since the happy couple tied the knot on Valentine’s weekend. Dana Cubbage Weddings captured all the moments, including a stunning Charleston sunset. The menu of the day was comprised of classic southern fare like fan-fave Shrimp ‘n Grits, but for a little (or a lot) of sweetness, the couple treated guests to a dessert buffet of small delicacies while they munched on a ceremonial cake. After dancing the night away, sea breezes floating through the open doors, Dan and Amanda chose to unwind on the shores of Barbados. Sounds like these newlyweds are more beach than mountain folk and we are all about that.
