Mary Margaret, who works as the administrative coordinator for the Clemson/College of Charleston graduate program in historic preservation, met Sanders, a market manager for Cathead Distillery, when they were both freshmen at University of Georgia in 2007. Eight years later, on New Year’s Eve, Sanders proposed at Savannah’s historic Forsyth Park. The Georgia natives wed in Columbus, the bride’s hometown, at St. Paul United Methodist Church and celebrated at the River Mill Gardens. They now reside in downtown Charleston.
