Five years after Myrtle Beach native Rachel and Brandon, of Charleston, met through a mutual friend, Brandon staged a faux retirement-party boat cruise for his stepmother. As the ship passed beneath the Ravenel Bridge, he revealed the real reason for the celebration and proposed to Rachel. The Holy City pair married at St. James Church (where Brandon grew up attending) then marked another milestone within view of the bridge, this time with a reception at Harborside East.
