Styled Shoot | Wingate Plantation

To help you ease into the work week after Thanksgiving (raise your coffee if you’re still dreaming of turkey and dressing and naps), join us as we say “Hello” to one of Charleston’s newest wedding planners, Nicki Shriver of Nicki Paige Collection. For this imagined reception, she teamed up with the husband and wife duo, Stacia and Robert, behind Ivy Bee Weddings to style the ultimate coastal wedding at Wingate Plantation. The sprawling, pastoral venue sits tucked away on John’s Island, and, says Stacia, is seemingly “its own world.” To play up the natural beauty of Wingate, a palette of plums, olives, and bits of coral lead the fall-themed florals and décor, while nautical touches were a tip of the hat to the barrier island setting. Stacia says her favorite takeaway combo was the whimsical pairing of classic china and golden oysters. “It was so charming,” she says, “and it really did elevate our coastal theme.” The model’s two gowns (both from Bridal House of Charleston) appeal to brides who are traditional and trendy, both. “We wanted a more reserved dress for the ceremony, so we chose one with a long sleeve; and the reception dress is a fun strappy number with gorgeous detailing that would be perfect for a night of dancing,” Stacia says. Ready for inspiration aplenty? Us, too!
