Tyler first noticed Katherine, a Hanahan native, as she walked into a bar in downtown Nashville, and after he approached her, the pair spent the whole night talking. They dated for three years before Tyler, who was living in Austin, Texas, at the time, flew to Nashville to surprise Katherine by covering the floor of her apartment in roses and proposing on the porch where they first kissed. They married in Charleston’s Second Presbyterian Church before a reception in The Cedar Room. They now reside in Austin, Texas.
