Vera & Brien | The Gadsden House

On the heels of New Year’s we needed a classic wedding with black-tie panache to carry us through the rest of this holiday-wind-down week. Enter Vera and Brien’s dreamy day, lovingly designed by A Charleston Bride. The two James Islanders tied the knot at The Gadsden House downtown and we love how elegantly simple the setting and fashion details were. (Take a peek at Vera’s Pinterest boards and you can see how the fashion merch buyer and account manager streamlined her favorite stationery, beauty, and gown ideas into her beautiful nuptials to Brien, who’s in construction and also charters fishing tours.) From abbreviated wedding parties—a pal and sister for her and two sidekicks for him—clad in black formalwear to white-on-white-on-white florals by Vero Design’s Megan Chandler and Thurston Catering’s exquisitely set raw oyster bar and seafood bites offered from white trays, their “I do’s” were a study in sublime taste. Looking to mirror their approach? Take a peek at the gorgeous, sunny images from Lauren Jonas. (And p.s. We just saw that Megan got engaged this Christmas. Congrats to the wedding pro on her own pending wedding!)
