For their one-year anniversary, the couple took a trip to Disney World, where William proposed on the beach at Lake Buena Vista. They had a Lowcountry-themed wedding and reception at the Historic Rice Mill with locally sourced beer and flowers, as well as sweetgrass roses for their guests. A year after the proposal, the newlyweds returned to Disney World for their honeymoon. They currently reside in Summerville.
