All Fore Love | These Kiawah Island nuptials exuded neutral elegance and coastal charm

Jazmine Noble and James William Graves Jr. worked for the same software sales company in New York City for six months before crossing paths. When they met for the first time—at a conference across the country in Las Vegas—they felt an instant spark. After dating a few months, Will brought Jazmine to Kiawah Island, a favorite family escape. It was on that trip, surrounded by the island’s lush, natural charms, they realized this was something special.

Five years in, while escaping early pandemic NYC, the couple hunkered down in Cape Cod, where they relished quiet time cooking, riding bikes, and mapping out their life together. One day, Will floated an idea. Knowing he and Jazmine each adored Charleston and spontaneity in equal measure, he proposed trading their sardine-packed subway commutes for the salt-flecked air of the Lowcountry—permanently. She was in. Still in the Cape when their dream home came on the market, they let spontaneity again take the wheel and purchased it sight unseen. And it would be in that very home, shortly after moving and on a quiet Sunday morning, that Will would ask Jazmine to marry him.

They knew Kiawah, now dear to them both, would play the perfect host for their wedding weekend. The celebrations began Thursday with an intimate family dinner at Cassique Clubhouse before other guests arrived. Jazmine donned gold heels and a green mini dress—“because who says a bride must wear white all the time?” After dinner, a firepit beckoned guests with s’mores and nightcaps. For Friday’s welcome party, the couple planned a fabulous coastal fête at Kiawah Island Club, where everyone noshed on “Shack” burgers, fresh oysters, and margaritas in custom cups while playing bocce ball and cornhole on the lawn.

The big bash took place at Kiawah’s stately River Course Clubhouse, where shades of green echoed the verdant landscape and golf course, while tropical elements like palm trees and mini pineapples brought a touch of whimsy. “We wanted the space to feel like a welcoming, well-designed coastal home,” Jazmine says. “As if we were all dancing in our living room—in black tie!”
