Beachy Keen | Caroline Brown & Ryan Bergh; December 5, 2009, Edisto Beach

Caroline Brown and Ryan Bergh must be living right. For starters, Caroline always wanted to get married at the beach; conveniently enough, Ryan’s aunt and uncle own a cottage on Edisto Beach. Her lucky number is 24, and the house sits—yep—right by station 24. Caroline’s sign is cancer (the crab) and Ryan pitches for Lakewood, New Jersey’s…wait for it…BlueCrabs. Given all the coincidences, the pair said their “I dos” on the Lowcountry coast with help from Katherine Miller Events. In keeping with the locale, Caroline carried a bouquet wrapped in sweetgrass, the wedding party donned flip-flops, and the couple exchanged vows under a driftwood arbor before sauntering back down the sandy aisle as Mr. and Mrs.

At short ceremonies, provide seating for those who require it but feel free to let the rest of the guests stand.
