“My colors are blush and bashful.” Shelby, from Steel Magnolias, was certainly ahead of her time, and we have to imagine that if she could see Emily and Rob’s perfect wedding at the Daniel Island Club that it would bless her heart.
A year and three months after Rob proposed to Emily in their Mount Pleasant neighborhood’s dog park (with their “four-legged child” Boone, a Boykin spaniel, looking on), Ellen Robinson of WED took Emily’s love of elegance, neutrals, glam, and of course, flawless warm lighting, and created a masterpiece. Long banquet tables draped in blush linens were lined with dozens of tapered candles and gold vessels boasting hydrangeas, roses, and peonies—simply stunning! Outside on the veranda, bistro lights hung above cocktail tables with glittery linens and luxurious muslin grey lounges, which overlooked the Lowcountry marshlands. After dinner the dancing began, only to be briefly interrupted by a surprise late night treat in honor of the father of the groom, who works in the Wendy’s business—you guessed it—Frosties and French fries!
