Cheers for Years | These embroidered napkins will look ravishing at your reception—and in your home

Believe it or not, Charleston’s Jennifer Keys never considered herself a monogram kinda gal. Ironic, then that she should find such success with Made on Marlow (910/232-7277; www.MadeonMarlow.com), her line of embroidered linen cocktail napkins. She credits the turnaround in part thanks to working in the local wedding world, first as showroom manager at a Charleston bridal shop, then as studio manager for her husband Ben’s on-site wedding painting business (Ben Keys Fine Art).

With such a career path, the exposure she inevitably got to monograms, event décor, and party palettes gave way to inspiration. Add in her love of Art Deco graphics, and a cottage cocktail industry cropped up.

Named after the street where she and Ben first lived as newlyweds, Made on Marlow is now known for offbeat color pairings and, she says, “gold on everything.” The napkins inject verve to any wedding event, and she hopes you’ll use them at home long after the sparkler exit. “I’m a true sentimentalist,” Jennifer says, speaking like a full-blown convert.

Table for Two

Opt for a pair of his-and-her Mr. and Mrs. napkins ($30 for two) for your champagne toast. Jennifer’s embroidered linen offerings also include monograms named after Charleston streets. Custom orders are available.
