Citrus Goes Chic | Meredith Cammerer & Patrick Stanton; June 17, 2009, Kiawah Island Resort

Meredith Cammerer vacationed on Kiawah Island during her childhood, and when she met Patrick Stanton and showed him this “happy place,” it became a fast favorite of his, too. After Patrick proposed on the island, the couple knew it was the perfect place to say their “I dos” a year later. So Meredith brought a slew of ideas—from funky and fun to beachy and organic—to Kristin Newman Designs. Heather Barrie of gathering—floral + event design quickly joined the team, and the trio of women brought all of Meredith’s adjectives to life. Inspired by an invitation suite created by the bride’s sister, they picked a palette of lime green, lemon yellow, and onyx. A few months later on a Wednesday night, Meredith and Patrick presented their guests with welcome gift baskets with personal notes tucked inside each—just the right warm greeting to the wedding week at Kiawah Island Club.
