Easy Place Card Project | Local stationer mac & murphy created these cute and colorful place cards, perfect for occupying kids at any wedding-related function

Perky Pinwheel Place Cards

  • Decorative Paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Double-sided adhesive
  • Heavy card stock
  • Ruler

1. For pinwheel, cut decorative paper into a 2-inch wide strip. Fold top left corner down to create a triangle. Cut excess paper from bottom to form a square. Open triangle and fold again starting from top right corner to create a pair of diagonal seams in an “X” shape. Cut 1 inch inward along each seam towards center to create four sections. Bend alternating tips and secure ends to center with double-sided adhesive. Attach stem and center dot.

2. For place card, cut heavy card stock into a 3 ½-inch square, fold in half, and score with a ruler. For letters, trace alphabet stencils (or try freehand) on heavy card stock and cut out. With the place card’s fold at the top, adhere letters and pinwheel to one exterior side.

Leave activity materials and directions for this project at the kids tables so kids can craft their own take-home place cards. Assign a tween or teen to help.
