Built in the 1930s by the groom’s great-grandfather, floated down the Intracoastal Waterway, re-established on the banks of the Dawhoo River on Yonges Island, and the site of many a Hutto family wedding, the River House at the Grove was the obvious locale for Lindsay Baker and Thomas Hutto’s nuptials last fall. Thomas, who has long taken his grandfather to the plantation home Sunday afternoons, readied the property for a year alongside his uncles, stepfather, and the Hutto patriarch, too. “The most rewarding part,” says Lindsay, “was getting my breath taken away at how beautiful the River House looked. It was better than I ever could have imagined.”
