In Due Season | The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation stuns in rustic glamour for a pair of Mount Pleasant natives' big happy day

Katie Senf & Tim Wood

St. Andrew's Church & Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation

When Tim Wood asked Katie Senf to be his prom date years ago, her father just wouldn’t allow it—but in due time, the two lovebirds received their happy ending, complete with coconut cake and the Cotton Dock reception Katie always dreamed of. Tim remembers the moment he first saw his lovely bride walking down the aisle, “I was blown away,” he says, “trying to keep my knees from visibly shaking.” With Tim’s father officiating, the Mount Pleasant locals said their “I do's” at St. Andrew's Church then made way to Boone Hall Plantation, where Sara York Grimshaw Designs delighted the duo with an overwhelmingly beautiful flower-filled setting that Hannah Alexander accented with tables lined with tall, candled cylinders. The day may have started off rainy, but it ended with the most perfect, peaceful summer sunset, only to end when Tim swept Katie off her feet and carried her through a sparkler send-off.
