Just Peachy

Just Peachy | Alyson Knight & Jacob Biles, July 23, 2011, First Scots Presbyterian Church & the Historic Rice Mill Building <br />

After just one date with Aly Knight, U.S. Marine Jake Biles was deployed overseas for six months. Through handwritten letters, emails, and phone calls, they developed a relationship despite the distance.

Less than two years after meeting, the pair moved to the Lowcountry together, where Jake proposed to Aly in Waterfront Park.

Following Aly’s “Yes!” they enlisted Heather Barrie from Gathering Floral + Event Design to create a light and airy reception at the Historic Rice Mill Building. Shades of peach, melon, and pale aqua softly accented with white and fair gray made the spacious area “feel clean and look chic,” Aly says.

Add Jake in his military uniform and Aly in her classic white gown, and the overall effect was a timeless, festive affair.
