When Charleston owners Holly and Jeremy Collins got married, the Mid-century design lovers wanted a statement piece or two that added retro pizazz to their Big Day. So they built honeycomb-styled shelves and installations that have become a hit with Holy City weddings. Check out their site for the innovative pieces they now rent to one and all.
 
 
Fresh, Local Flowers
 
Feast & Flora (FeastAndFloraFarm.com; @feastandflora) puts a whole new spin on farm-to-table. Operating out of small plot in nearby Meggett, owner Laura Mewbourn and farmer Joy Colby raise stunning, fresh blooms that you can buy loose or arranged for your wedding. Have something in mind? Let them know early in your planning and they can custom grow what you’ve got your heart set upon.
 
 
On Fire
 
The husband-and-wife team behind MacBailey Candle Co. (843/ 270-1007; macbaileycandleco.com) started making candles in their home kitchen and eventually branched out into a bigger operation, crafting such fetching fare that Anthropologie picked them up. Rich and Clara Bailey say they are inspired by walking Charleston’s streets, as this tabby number attests. Made of chemical-free soy wax, and poured into reusable vessels, the hand-poured, terrific smelling treats would be the wedding favor or hostess gift of our dreams.
 
 
All Wrapped Up
 
Why include a textile company in the mix? We’re thinking you and your gals might need towels and blankets to hit the beach (in style) on your wedding weekend, and perhaps you need some linens to zest up your bridal brunch, too? Use whatever reasoning you need to visit the South African shop Mungo Linens (843/ 425-7797; mungo.us), which opened its first U.S. store on Spring Street. Made sustainably at every stage of production, the 60-person company uses old-school looms (the most senior one is from 1890; the youngest is 50 years old) to craft gorgeous fabrics you’ll cherish.

Raised in Palm Beach, Florida, and a longtime resident of the Bahamas, Amanda Lindroth (843/371-1581; AmandaLindroth.com) knows how to entertain with tropical flair. The design guru, who worked at WWD and W, and did PR for luxury brands (Gucci, much?), opened her second shop stateside this year on King Street. Pop in to find just what you need for your newlywed nest.
