Virginia natives Jennifer Grillo and Michael Crisci knew they wanted to wed in the Holy City—she’d gone to school here and both had attended many a wedding in these parts. With a rustic meets glam theme in mind, the couple enlisted Southern Protocol’s Lizz Akerman and stems’ Anne Bowen to plan their May 29, 2011 nuptials. With the William Aiken House’s yellow hue and its natural greenery as their backdrop, the team put on a drama of color and form. Take a peek to see how flowers can add similar verve to your reception.
