PICTURE PERFECT: While Brianna’s Modern Trousseau gown was a testament to elegant simplicity, Evan’s tie added pattern (and the wedding’s palette) to his Oleg Cassini suit.

A LOOK AHEAD: The stationery suite by Scotti Cline Designs previewed the evening’s starring color.

TIED ON: Jade Water Designs shaped lush spheres of white and green hydrangea, white peonies, and white ranunculus to accent ceremony seating.

ON THE LINKS: Groomsmen got in on the pattern play when Evan gifted cuff links bearing a map of the Big Apple, his hometown.

TWINKLE TOES: The reception’s mint green theme popped up on Brianna’s Badgley Mischka heels.

TOP THAT: Lounge tables were topped with the paisley pattern found throughout the reception. Accents were kept simple—white hydrangea and small mercury glass votive holders—as to not compete with the bright design.

THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL: Midway through planning, the bride requested that this bindi pattern be added to the mix to spice up the mint green and cream stripes she originally chose.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Fashioned into table toppers at the reception, the fabric gave a fresh, modern look to the décor, which mimicked that of the couple’s home.

EARN THOSE STRIPES: The stripes on the couple’s stationery suite also accented vessels with blooms from Jade Water Designs.

PLACES, PLEASE: Wanting the reception to feel like a dinner party at their home, the bride and groom chose to forgo a sweetheart table and dined among their guests, instead.

SPECIAL THANKS: Red Letter Events tucked appreciative welcome cards from the couple into each napkin.

SET THE TABLE: Placed between vases brimming with pale posies, candelabras cast a glow over tabletops as guests dined.

TONE ON TONE: The stripes and dotted designs throughout the wedding took a subtle turn when iced in white on the wedding cake by Fish Restaurant.

SECOND HELPINGS: The reception wasn’t the only place the newlyweds enjoyed a sweet slice. “We woke up at 6:00 the next morning starving, and ate leftover wedding cake right then and there in bed,” says Brianna.

PICTURE THIS: Guests wrote their well wishes and signatures on an oak tree-shaped puzzle.

COME TOGETHER: Brianna and Evan dubbed the dry rub they made for favors “Bicoastal BBQ, ” a play off their East and West Coast upbringings.

Though Brianna and Evan lived next door to one another in New York for more than a year, it was eHarmony that introduced the pair. The couple dated for two years before Evan popped the question during his and Brianna’s annual Christmas date to Central Park. With family and friends spread across the country, they chose Charleston’s Lowndes Grove for their wedding and enlisted Red Letter Events to concoct a warm and intimate setting that would make their guests feel as if they were attending a lively dinner party at the couple’s home. Thus the same color scheme—green, blue, and cream—as in the couple’s digs came together with cozy touches like chandeliers, candelabras, and custom pillows to create an atmosphere that, according to Evan, was, “exactly as we had dreamt.”
