“We were friends for a few years when Matt asked me why we weren’t dating,” says Charleston native Katie of their Bishop Gadsden High School days. “I told him it was because he never asked.” From then on, the two were an item, and 10 years later Matt asked his sweetheart another question, a really big one. Since the two enthusiastically live “the Salt Life,” they wed on her family’s pier on Sullivan’s Island, along with 315 guests.
