We had a brief hurricane hiatus (ugh, Dorian), but we’re back in full action and bringing you the backyard summer soirée of your dreams. So, grab your drink and kick up your heels for this A-plus wedding. The couple first met at her family’s law firm in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where Aaron says it felt like he was struck by lightning when he spotted Kelley. After a little over a year of dating, Aaron asked Kelley if she wanted to “get hitched.” (Sometimes simple and straight to the point can be the most romantic, don’t ya think?) Charleston-native Kelley says she wanted a high-society feel to her Big Day , but a vibe that was completely her own and not an ounce stuffy. And so it was. The couple decided to tie the knot at Kelley’s childhood church, St. Andrew’s Church Mt. Pleasant in the Old Village, and dance the night away in a ballroom A Charleston Bride erected in a majestic tent behind the bride’s family home. Attendees showed up reception-ready in their white-tie best, but the award for “best dressed” of the whole shebang goes to the bride’s Seal Point Himalayan, Sir Percy Blakeney, who made quite the statement in his dapper tux. “Champagne, caviar, and chandeliers” were a few of Kelley’s must-haves and from images by Tim Will Photography below, it’s clear she checked off all those marks. From her chic bridesmaids, to the tented tennis courts, to the unending supply of bubbly, and everything in-between, it goes without saying that it was a celebration for the ages. Cheers, lovebirds.
