Having worked in the New York City fashion industry for 10 years, Hillary Hall shopped Monique Lhuillier’s showroom to find her fit-and-flare gown and after-party dress. Her groom, Hunter Gay, wore a tux from Canali and a Brackish bowtie.
Coastal blues and greens with pops of pink and white were the colors of the day. Lori DeNicola of Petaloso made statement floral displays with the fountain and ceremony arch.
The couple bucked rehearsal dinner tradition by hosting a welcome dinner party cruise aboard The Carolina Girl for all 130 guests and said no to a wedding party.
They chose a maid of honor and best man (their siblings) and spent a stress-free morning getting ready with close family.
“The invitations set the tone for the whole weekend,” says planner and mother of the bride Laura Hall. The couple’s suite included a drawing of the couple and design by Page Spearin and calligraphy by J Lily Design.
Draping by The Social Spool softened the reception tent and bar by Spike by Snyder.
The linens, pulled from Julia Amory, Stradley Davidson, and BBJ La Tavola, lent texture to the celebration and were also reflected in the wedding cake by Jim Smeal.
