Alex Chapey & Winnie Caetta

June 24, 2023
Originally from New Jersey, school counselor Winnie met New Yorker Alex, who works in private equity, in the summer of 2019 while she was living in Charleston. The two met up at Leon’s Oyster Shop for drinks and spent the entire summer together until Winnie moved to Georgia for a job. Three years later, during one of Winnie’s visits to Charleston, Alex proposed while on a walk across the Ravenel Bridge, celebrating afterward with friends and family at Mercantile & Mash. The couple, who live in downtown Charleston, got married at St. Mary’s of the Annunciation and held their reception at The Gadsden House.
