Anna, managing editor of Charleston, and Jonathan, author and illustrator of the Sammy the Wonder Dachshund children’s book series, met in 2009 at a Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art event. Following a Christmastime engagement, the pair exchanged vows at Quarters K—within North Charleston’s Riverfront Park—in a ceremony officiated by the bride’s twin brother. Three months later, they enjoyed a honeymoon in Costa Rica.
