First grade teacher Anna Katherine started falling for oil tanker officer Charles after matching on Hinge, and the two FaceTimed each night while he completed a job in Singapore. They became inseparable when Charles returned to the Holy City and were engaged in January 2023 after a bike taxi ride that ended at Porter’s Lodge. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends at Grace Church Cathedral and held a reception in the Colonial Ballroom of the historic Francis Marion Hotel.
