After serving his country and moving to North Carolina, James and Ashley met on a dating website. Throughout their courtship, James showed constant love and support as Ashley’s mother was battling cancer, which made her fall in love with his kind heart even more. During a surprise trip to Ashley’s family beach house in Atlantic Beach, NC, James got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to be his wife. The two said their “I do’s” on the Carolina Girl Yacht and danced the night away. The newlyweds currently live in North Carolina.
