Callie Satterfield & Bhavik Pandya

March 19, 2022
After meeting their senior year of high school in Canton, Georgia, Callie and Bhavik dated long distance for eight years while pursuing degrees and careers in different states. On his birthday in 2018, Bhavik surprised his bride-to-be with a sunset helicopter ride over Atlanta, proposing on top of the helipad of the W hotel. Their wedding—which was rescheduled three times due to COVID—was held at the Gibbes Museum of Art, with a Hindu priest and an AME pastor conducting dual ceremonies. The newlyweds, who live in Mount Pleasant, were given a jazzy exit, joining a procession and following the Emerald Empire band out the museum’s front door.
