David and Kelly, who both attended the University of South Carolina, met at a mutual friend’s birthday party just after David graduated. The pair dated long distance until Kelly finished college and moved to Charleston to be with him. On a trip to Kelly’s hometown in Maryland, David organized a “brunch” with friends, which became an engagement party after he popped the question. The couple wed on a Friday at the William Aiken House and celebrated their union throughout the weekend with family and friends.
