Cara and David began their senior year at Washington College in Maryland as neighbors and graduated as best friends. After three years in a long-distance relationship, Cara followed David, a firefighter with the St. Andrews Fire Department, to the Holy City. Six months later, David proposed at Morris Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve. The couple were married at Lowndes Grove, where a coastal-themed reception followed, and they danced the night away to Steel Toe Stiletto before receiving a sparkler exit to the getaway vehicle—a vintage fire truck.
