Jason Bowman & Maura Lawson

April 29, 2022
Charleston native Maura met Jason in 2012 through mutual friends while living in Chicago. They dated for 10 years and moved to San Francisco together. Knowing Maura wanted to be engaged in her hometown, Jason proposed amid rose petals and candles at The Spectator Hotel during her family’s annual beach week in Kiawah. The pair tied the knot at St. Luke’s Chapel before moving to the William Aiken House for a dance party with jazz band Steel Toe Stiletto and oysters served from the East and West Coasts, representing her Lowcountry roots and the couple’s current home in Santa Monica, California.
