Jennifer Ryczko & Matthew Eklund

August 8, 2020

While both were working at a Mount Pleasant hospital, Charleston natives Jennifer and Matthew were introduced by coworkers at a Christmas party. Sparks flew between the social worker and pharmacist during their first date, and six months later, Matthew got down on one knee during a walk on Isle of Palms and asked Jennifer to “make it official.” The pair married in August at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, the first wedding since the church completed its year-long renovation. Following an intimate candlelit dinner reception at the Historic Rice Mill, the newlyweds traveled to Bora Bora for their honeymoon.
