Columbia residents Hannah and John met in ninth grade at the Montreat Youth Conference, becoming fast friends. The two kept in touch while attending different colleges, then became a couple in October 2018 and moved to Charleston. While visiting Whitepoint Garden for a photo op with friends, John asked Hannah to be his wife. They were married at Runnymede under a large oak overlooking the Ashley River. The newlyweds, who live in West Ashley, continued celebrating into the night with cocktails by the water, bluegrass music, and a late-night pizza run.
