Johndre Jefferson & Tajae Woods

July 20, 2018

“We dated on and off basically my entire life—at least that is what it feels like!” laughs Tajae of her and Johndre’s courtship. The two met during high school in the South Carolina Midlands. During their third “on” chapter, which started in 2009, Johndre, a professional overseas basketball player, invited Tajae, a stay-at-home mom and aspiring healthcare worker, along with both their mothers to dinner. He gave his then-girlfriend a sweet card that she says moved her to tears. When she looked up, he was on one knee. The two married at the Charleston Gaillard Center and live in Atlanta.
